I AM OFTEN ASKED, "WHY HORSES?" THE ANSWER IS IN THEIR HEARTBEAT. HORSES ARE MIRROR BEINGS WITH A HEART FIVE TIMES THE SIZE OF OUR OWN; THEIR VAST ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD NATURALLY REGULATES THE HUMAN NERVOUS SYSTEM. WHEN YOU SIT IN THEIR PRESENCE, YOUR HEART BEGINS TO BEAT IN COHERENCE WITH THEIRS. BY SYNCHRONIZING YOUR HEARTBEAT WITH THE RESONANCE OF THE HERD, YOU MOVE FROM THE NOISE OF THE WORLD BACK TO THE SACRED RHYTHM OF THE ‘ĀINA—FINDING PEACE IN THEIR POWER AND HEALING IN THEIR PRESENCE.

Sample Schedule

  • Campers ease into the day with light games, creative prompts, and a welcome circle to set the tone.

  • Guided outdoor activities and free play to stretch, move, and soak up some fresh air.

  • Campers will be responsible for brining their own lunch, but we'll provide water and some additional snacks daily.

  • Hands-on time to explore the daily theme—whether it’s art, building, storytelling, or movement.

  • We'll end the day with a closing circle before campers head home for the evening.

Where to Find Us

Shuttle transportation is available to and from camp. Participants can be picked up near the York Street Subway Station on the F subway line. Subway access to the F, G, A, C, 2, 3 and B67.
